We talked about how the light at night is still too bright when we go to sleep. This is keeping us up and making it harder to get to sleep.

We made our eye masks using a sewing machine. We had to control the pedal [accelerator] very carefully to stitch the two layers together.

We chose a soft fabric for the inside and a colourful fabric for the outside of the mask. We hope these will help us to get to sleep more quickly.

A great reading game to join up the beginning and end of words.

Well done, Xander, Kaid and Laura!
Grass roots writing

We have been noticing things really close up.
We lay on the grass so we could see up close.

We were focusing and writing about what we saw.

We used words like - blades, dirt, bugs, crawling...

Lying on the grass helped us look really closely at it.

A really cool place to write!!

Measuring around the classroom.

Using centimetres [cm] to find out how long things are.

Being accurate by starting at the zero mark.

"How long is my foot?" asks Xander.

It was fun measuring things!
